Be guided on a walk along the mighty Finniss River through the Finniss Conservation Park to Cox Scrub Conservation Park, walking through areas that the general public rarely get to see, including through private property containing stunning bushland, Fleurieu swamp, scenery and abundant flora and fauna. Attendees will be shown the extensive resotration works acheieved as part of the GWLAP project Mount Compass to Meadows Biodiversity Links Project which has been funded by the Australian Government Environment Program
The end desitination at Cox Scrub will feature a catered lunch of locally sourced produce from the Finniss River Catchment.
Attendees will meet at the entrance to the Finniss Conservation Park, walk to Cox Scrub at Coles Crossing road and be ferried back to their cars at the starting point following their lunch break.
Attendees will need to be physically able to walk the 3.5km bushwalk which will require some rock hopping to cross the river and will be required to wear snake and sun safe clothing and sturdy footwear. Please enquire if you are unsure if you are suited to this walk.
