The Point Sturt Landcare Nature Reserve Friends Group will be joined by the Strathalbyn Scouts Group to plant 1000 plants on the Point Sturt Landcare Reserve this year. Leah Hunter of the Goolwa to Wellington LAP will oversee the project.
Date: Sunday August 12th.
Location: from the Milang-Clayton Road, 6½km along Point Sturt Road.
Please come down to help us on August 12th. There are many tasks on the day, making up the tree guards, planting, guarding, getting morning tea organized and many other jobs that make the project run smoothly.
All help will be gratefully received. Family, friends, and anyone interested in doing something for the environment are all welcome.
If you can come for the day, or part of the day you would be welcome.
We will start at 9:00 am. Morning tea will be at 10:30. We intend to finish by 3:30 pm or earlier if the task is complete.
Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
*Please bring gloves, strong footwear, shower proof clothes and a chair if possible.
*On the day please park at the Point Sturt Road car park and walk down to the ‘base camp’ by the second gate, where we will set up our shelter, catering, planting gear and toilet. It’s about 450 metres. (There isn’t room for cars there as well).
Please RSVP to Alan King [email protected] or 0432870339.
