Bird Identification and Monitoring Workshop

This workshop is being held by Natural Resources, SA Murray Darling Basin.

Who?

Community members who are interested in bird watching and contributing to a new citizen science online database.
The workshops cater for novices through to experienced birders.

Why?

Your participation will assist with monitoring birds and the overall environmental health of the SA MurrayDarling Basin region.
The workshops will teach you how to ID different bird species, undertake a survey and contribute meaningful data.

When & Where?

Sept 26 Saturday 9am-5:30pm: Paiwalla private wetland – theory and field trip Suitable for beginners.

Sept 27 Sunday 8am: Ferries McDonald Conservation Park field trip including malleefowl mound monitoring with National Malleefowl Recovery Team.

Sunday Lunch – 3pm: Theory at Murray Bridge Natural Resource Centre, 110A Mannum Rd Murray Bridge.

Sunday is suitable for those who attended Saturday or have some prior experience.

Cost?

Free with lunch included.

Binoculars and field guides available for loan.
